There are so many amazing cuisines and destinations around the world, and I love it when cooking shows combine them both.
Here are some special ones I’ve enjoyed over the years. . .
1. Tareq Taylor’s Nordic Cookery
Showcasing some of the local cuisine and delicacies of the Nordic and Scandinavia regions.
Just stunning scenery.
(Be sure to play it on high quality)
2. Wilderness Cooking in Azerbaijan
This is a fun one. It’s quite meat heavy, so beware. But if you enjoy low dialogue cooking shows with a very rustic and rugged feel, this is for you.
But don’t worry, the episode below is low on the meat front, and showcases some of the most idyllic scenery, from the farm to the garden to the outdoor kitchen. Very relaxing.
3. Mark Wiens – Thai Cooking
Having visited Chiang Mai, Thailand years ago, I have to say that the authentic Thai Green Curry you get from there is something extraordinary. Nothing like the real thing.
If you enjoy vegetarian cooking, you might enjoy this one below where he focuses on plant-based cuisine. It also showcases some of the beautiful Northern Thai architecture alongside lush tropical gardens.
4. Marion’s Kitchen – South East Asia
Marion is based in Thailand but shares a lot of the cuisine from the South-East Asia region. She’s also hilarious.
Love this one below of the famous Singapore Laksa.
5. Jamie Oliver – Jamie at Home
Growing up, we would watch this show a lot. It was one of our favourite comfort cooking shows. So lovely.
Especially loved the English country garden with the outdoor kitchen. Just gorgeous.
