In the year 2015, I was sitting at home in the living room, when a laptop was placed in front of me, and someone invited me to take a personality test online. I took the test.
When I looked at the result of the test and read the summary notes, I was speechless. I looked at the words on the page, and for the first time in my life, I finally felt understood.
It began this journey of discovery, reading more and more, in depth, of the Myers-Briggs® Personality Typing system, and coming more and more to understand the foundations of the Myers-Briggs® system, and its benefit and usefulness for ourselves and the people around us.
Some resources that I have found along this journey are the ones below, that I can recommend:
- Psychology Junkie – website
- Introvert, Dear – website
- Personality Hacker – website
- Practical Typing – website
- Mathias Corner – website
While I don’t agree with everything from those websites, there is certainly a lot to be gleaned and learned from.
There are some books available, if you prefer books over websites, and while I haven’t personally read them, they do seem to be excellent resources to learn from.
- Please Understand Me II (David Keirsey)
- Gifts Differing (Isabel Briggs Myers and Peter B. Myers)
