Cinema has such incredible potential to inspire, to create, to lift up, to bring hope. I have always loved film for this reason.

Here are my five favourite films, definitely in order of preference.

1. Pride & Prejudice {2005}

This 2005 rendition of the classic novel by Jane Austen is pure class. 

The clip below showcases the inspired talent that went into making this film. Truly breathtaking.

2. George of the Jungle {1997}

This is more of a fun one. Set in the jungles of Africa (but filmed in Hawaii), this was a favourite one growing up. Comedy, adventure, and a talking animal, what’s not to love?

3. Jurassic Park {1993}

An absolute classic. Never gets old.

4. Star Wars: A New Hope {1977}

Still has one of the most iconic soundtracks of film history.

5. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers {2002}

Truly one of the most epic & inspiring films to ever be produced, and filmed right here in New Zealand.
